What Would You Like to Know?
WHAT DO YOU GROW?
When we were deciding what to grow, it was obvious that we needed to have lettuce. We are big salad eaters and recognize that farm-grown lettuce is often nothing like the store-bought stuff. We focus on a seasonal blend of greens you and your family can enjoy each week! Aside from that, we also have other produce that accompany the salad mix most wonderfully. You can expect radishes, carrots, summer squash, tomatoes, cabbage, cucumber, herbs, edible flowers, and lots and lots of greens.
Let us know what you want us to grow!
WHAT ARE YOUR FARMING PRACTICES?
We are proud of how we grow! We are not certified but follow organic growing practices; we don't spray anything, don't use fertilizers, and don't use GMO seed. Instead, we focus on soil biodiversity by covering our raised beds in certified OMRI compost. We love compost because it encourages earth's life and natural tillers of the soil! It also helps retain moisture below the surface while nurturing plenty of microbial, fungal, and bacterial life. After setting up our raised beds, will are no-till and making an effort to be more self-sustainable with our compost needs. We are very fortunate to have water rights to two creeks on the farm and happy to get sunshine that is the lifeline of our plants!
WHERE CAN I PURCHASE YOUR PRODUCE?
We are very pleased to be selling at the South Valley Farmers Market in Cottage Grove, OR this year. We will be there on Saturdays from 11am-3pm, May through October. The SVFM is excellent at coordinating pickups from online orders and does a wonderful job creating a fun environment despite some restrictions for our safety and well-being. You can check out their website at https://southvalleyfarmersmarket.square.site/.
